Progesterone Cream treatment can help with breast tenderness and bloating just before your period. The vast majority of women in
America have breast tenderness and bloating before their period. This is NOT normal. This bloating and breast tenderness
is from Estrogen Dominance, too much estrogen. Too much estrogen is due to your own internal estrogen, typically
estradiol added together with chemicals on the skin that act like estrogen. However, in 30-40% of women that take
progesterone cream, the bloating and breast tenderness becomes worse TEMPORARILY. This is because they have not eliminated or decreased
their intake of xenoestrogens (foreign estrogens or chemical estrogens) and phytoestrogens.
Whenever the body has too much estrogen it tries to adjust to this, by becoming LESS SENSITIVE to estrogen. The technical
term for this is down regulation. To understand down regulation, lets look at analogy. If you go into a rock concert,
initially you think it is extremely loud. Then, after 1/2 hour, it is not so loud any more. In reality, the loudness
of the rock concert has NOT changed. However, your perception of the loudness of the rock concert has. Your body has
down regulated.
When you take progesterone your sensitivity to estrogen goes back up to normal, and it seems
like you are getting more estrogen. But you are really NOT getting more estrogen, your body is just regaining its
original sensitivity to estrogen. Thus, it seems like you are getting more estrogen. Too much estrogen leads to
breast tenderness and bloating. Your body comes out of down regulation by taking progesterone cream.
Again, back to the analogous story. You go into the rock concert. It is loud. After 1/2 hour, it is not so loud anymore.
This is down regulation. You take progesterone cream, and your body comes out of down regulation and the rock concert is
loud again.
Thus, 30-40% of women get temporarily worse bloating and breast tenderness after taking progesterone cream because
your body is coming out of down regulation. If you stop
the progesterone cream, then this temporary worsening STOPS after 3-4 days.
Bloating and breast tenderness just before the period is tied to estrogen dominance (too much estrogen).
If you need to confirm this simply
go to any Physician's Desk Reference and look at the overdose symptoms of synthetic estrogen pills. Bloating and
Breast tenderness is a symptom of estrogen overdose from the Physician's Desk Reference.
Ranchers routinely implant estrogen pellets behind the ear of their cattle to increase fat marbling and increase
water retention. This results in tender heavier steaks, and more money for the rancher.
One woman told me she knew exactly
how the cattle felt.
Many women
progesterone claim that they loose weight and their hair stops falling out. This is because Estrogen Dominance
causes less sensitivity to thyroid hormone. Taking the hormone increases thyroid sensitivity back
to normal. Read about using progesterone to have thick and healthy hair here and stop the hair from falling out.
Bloating and breast tenderness is the hallmark of Estrogen Dominance.
I use these two symptoms to see whether
the patient is Estrogen Dominant. Many people want to do a hormone test. I do not find a hormone test
to be very helpful clinically. This is because the hormone test just measures estradiol, progesterone, estrone,
or estriol. The hormone test does not measure xenoestrogens or phytoestrogens.
The hormone test does NOT measure lavender, sage, parabens or phenoxyethanol. It is the additive
action of your own estradiol AND xenoestrogens (chemical estrogens) AND phytoestrogens that cause Estrogen
Dominance. READ more about Estrogen Dominance here.
Thus, progesterone can help with bloating and breast tenderness. However, 40% of women taking progesterone
will get temporarily worse bloating and breast tenderness because they did not cut out xenoestrogens. The solution
for 100% success in using progesterone cream to stop bloating and breast tenderness is to cut out xenoestrogens
and phytoestrogens in your environment.
